Mayhemic and sparkling, the latest single from hotly-tipped London young things Man/Woman/Chainsaw serves up a hectic, spiralling whizz of restless vocals, crash-bang rhythms and titan-slaying violin leaps. ‘The Boss’, is boss, and is a frenzied study of the “imbalanced power dynamics in our everyday lives”, say the band.
Following on from the cool balladry of ‘Grow A Tongue in Time’, this latest cut from forthcoming debut EP Easy Peazy - landing on 8th November via Fat Possum Records - returns to brash punk rock of ‘Ode to Clio’, while dipping its feathers into outlandish prog, especially in the frizzy derangements of its symphonic outro. With a band still this raw, this green and so visibly overflowing with ideas, the biggest question of all is: what is their limit, the sky?
