The North Country have shared 'Born At The Right Time', the lead single from their 'true covid lockdown record', 'Born At The Right Time (Exquisite Corpse)', out 15th July on vinyl and digital.
The experimental pop ensemble, hailing from Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York, made use of the restrictions of lockdown by approaching their record with the Ginsberg mantra 'first thought, best thought' in mind. The band recorded the elements separately, sending each tweak along to the next member and the ensemble only hearing the final product at the very end. The result is a dreamy, skittering collection of moments, bringing its own mantra-like state to the table and proving that the pandemic needn't have hampered those willing to experiment.
